These paintings were commissioned by the family to capture their much-loved home. This was a true collaborative effort, with my client contributing his ideas and comments throughout the process. I think we all had a wonderful time with this project!

Gilded Age Beauty Still Shines, Scarborough Home on Beechwood Estate is on the Market

I was reading an article in the “Living Here” section of the Journal News last Sunday when I recognized the home of Nancy and Warner Rush. I had the pleasure of working with them to paint their Home Portrait back in 2000, as a gift from their daughter, Jessica. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with them! This very unique and stately property is currently on the market, and there can be no more interesting place to live in Westchester for the fortunate buyer.

This is maybe the sweetest 25th anniversary present I ever heard of…..

and it’s NOT only because I was the artist lucky enough to be commissioned to produce it !! When I got the call from David in Michigan, my husband and I had just celebrated our own 25th anniversary. He described his idea to give his beloved wife paintings of each of the 3 homes they had lived in for their 25 years together. He provided photos of each house and, interestingly enough, the houses were all shot in different seasons. Their first and most modest home is seen blanketed in a snowfall. The second house shows foliage in bloom. The home they currently live in is pictured in autumn’s peak colors. Not a bad metaphor for their own journey together.
