Old Friends, New Home
The phone rang a few months ago, and I was thrilled to hear the voice of one of my favorite clients from quite a few years ago. He asked me to do a new Home Portrait of his family’s town house in NY. He was excited to give this to his wife as a birthday gift and had a fun idea to show the family on the stoop, where they often hang out. The girls would all be on their phones, and the dogs would be having a bit of drama with a passing bruiser.
Here you can see our original project, of the country house they used to own. Note the girls, much younger, running down the hill from their playhouse. I remember every detail was significant in this painting, and had so much meaning for the family. It was great fun to reconnect with these wonderful people!
